Frost Jazz Vocal II is an intermediate level ensemble featuring 12-16 vocalists and a full rhythm section. JV 2 is open to all UM students by audition, the ensemble focuses on traditional vocal jazz literature of jazz standards, pop, and contemporary literature. Directed by Jazz Vocal faculty and teaching assistants, the ensemble focuses on building musicianship and vocal technique through rehearsal and performance of arrangements by Frost School of Music faculty and students and leading arrangers including Matt Falker, Rosana Eckert, Kate Reid, Peter Eldridge, Steve Zegree and Darmon Meader.
