Directed by Dante Luciani, the Billy Strayhorn Ensemble at the Frost School of Music pays homage to one of the foremost jazz composers in American music history. Billy Strayhorn (1915-1967) was a gifted composer, pianist, and arranger and served almost three decades as a chief orchestrator and co-composer with the legendary Duke Ellington and his orchestra.
